Research Experience

After receiving my Pharm.D. and M.P.H., I practiced for 3 years, primarily functioning as the clinical pharmacist with the psychiatric treatment team on the two inpatient psychiatric units at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. From 2016-2018, I completed a NIDA funded T32 Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Translational Addiction Research and completed my Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Evaluation and Policy. My research has focused on evaluating opioid use and abuse in populations. As a pharmacist, health services researcher, and data scientist, my long-term objective is to reduce the risk for developing substance use disorders and improve their treatment by generating new knowledge from big data and translating that new knowledge into data-driven, actionable strategies and interventions.
